Option to have hidden text within the article itself

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

I love the idea of secrets when writing an article, but the current way Secrets is set up makes it appear as another article below the main one. I think this is a good feature, but what if we could have actual hidden text in the article itself?   For example, I am currently writing about how a group's religion impacts their entire civilization's sociographic makeup. However, later on in the story, a revelation comes out that dramatically shifts their entire worldview. I want to keep the article "naive" for those who are just now learning about the group, while also exploring new theories that build off of the existing text within the same paragraph instead of taking the reader away from the main body of text.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

I believe that the addition of "hidden text" will make reading certain parts of an article more exciting since it can build off of the article versus having to copy and paste a repeat of it in the Secret below, which can feel repetitive. The current version of Secrets does fill a niche, but this idea expands upon it in a new way by having the ability for an article to be transformed mid-sentence.

What are other uses for this feature request?

This could also be used to have in-the-know definitions appear alongside words based on having certain faction ties or credentials, answers to riddles and puzzles, or secret codes placed within the text itself.

The Team's Response

Thanks for your suggestion! This is already possible in various ways. Here's a couple:
  • If you want to use secrets, you can embed them in the article so they display within the article body. See Guide to Secrets for more details.
  • As a Grandmaster, the quickest way is by using subcontainers, as you can write the content within the article's text bodies. Even if you don't use subscribers, you can just have an empty subscriber group that you use for these types of secret content. Here's the guide!
