font -text-wrapping font-sizing size

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

I think it would be great to add an ability to adjust font sizes to article writing. Any way to customize our writing is always a plus, and there are features in World Anvil that actively suffer from the lack of adjustable font size, such as awkward text wrapping in large text tables.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

It would give world builders the option to have certain words or phrases fit better in their various articles.

What are other uses for this feature request?

I think adjustable text can make for many fun things, such as larger words to really emphasize a point or smaller words to change the tone of parts of an article.

Not great support for this - but a quick implementation so we will give it a try

I think that a lot of people are forgetting that not everyone is a grandmaster.

I agree that this can be done using some custom CSS, so I wasn't going to put a full +300 on it, but then I thought more about it and I see it as a good example of something where a thoughtful BBCode implementation might make something easy that's otherwise actually hard / time-consuming if I were to just do it in CSS.   Something like [size:+1] to increase the size by "one notch", [size:-1] to decrease it by "one notch" (where "one notch" might not necessarily be a linear scale), and the [size] tags could be nested so that the adjustments are added together.   I imagine I could even customize exactly what "one notch" means by overriding some values for CSS classes like .size1 .size2 .size-1 .size-2?

Already easily possible. If you want this for yourself, just set up some [section:fontbigger] stuff in your world. Also, varying font sizes mid text makes your work hard to read; you probably should avoid it.   Text wrapping in tables is a different issue altogether and not really related to the font size.

I agree with soulLink on this. A button would be great to set font size if possible. My CSS is getting larger and keeping up with it is tough sometimes.

Just because something is already possible doesn't mean that it would be useful to have a easier way to do it.   Adding a bunch of fontsize BBCodes that increase / decrease the size of text would definitely be useful without creating a heading out of it which has sideeffects.
