Hide Meta-section

Sage+ members sometimes use the WA site as the front-facing part of their experience. And even for other members, the meta-section of a presentation page is rarely useful and often just an eyesore. As far as I can figure out, that section is currently not possible to hide under .user-css class. Being able to remove the meta, and the whole block, would be very useful.

The Team's Response

Accepted but with very low support and priority - if implemented it will impact only GM+ worlds   Edit: This is already implemented - the Meta can be hidden by everyone apart from the creator of the world from the sidebar of the Meta section

I would love "Authors + Staff only see metadata" option, as well. The metadata doesn't look too terrible until you start getting it busy then it just hurts.

I like dinosaurbob's suggestion of having it visible only to authors

According to the css rules codex page, hiding the metadata is actually not allowed, so I suspect this will not be well received. I want to just say to Hanhula though that you don't really get to decide what other people consider to be an eyesore.

I use the meta, but actually agree here. When I view my world, it is not because I need to explore my own creation, but rather that I want to see what others see, preferably without having to open a private window or some other workaround, especially if that workaround involves CSS.

Metadata is under .user-css-extended already. This is sort of an irrelevant feature request, especially since a small line and one button at the very bottom of an article are not 'an eyesore'.

As an alternative, turning this into an “author only” section would be great, too
