What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
We want to be able to search community articles in a specific template only.The idea is, that we can more easily discover inspiration for specific things.For example we would like to specifically search for organizations, but with a search term like we can in our world, or a character or whatever template comes to mind.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
It allows for users to search in the community article tab by a specific template that they are looking for. Like the example above, If you are working on a character and need inspiration you can go into the search community article section and you can search for character templates .it will come up with only characters template articles. Or if you need location ideas or organzation ideas it will come up with organzation template articles and location template articles And say you are looking for techonlogy it will come up with techonlogy template articles only .This will allow for a targeted inspiration from the articles that appear in the community tab. Allowing for people to find something that is specfic for their inspiration or needs
Something to also add would be the option to make possible to search only for articles that were once featured in a given template ( for example only Featured articles that were characters or organzations etc)
The Team's Response
This is going to be extremely hard to implement and largely hard to manage. With over 15 million articles not only it's going to be really difficult to manage but also not very useful. An alternative of showing best of by type on a spread of time based on Like might be introduced
