What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
In Timeline Events there is no way to easily see/work out how long ago an event took place. Because we know the date of the event and the current date in the world (if set) we should be able to easily work this out automatically. If we add a Year of Death to a Person this is done for us. Would be nice if it was done for us for events too.How does this feature request address the current situation?
Just add an (optional) field which tells you how long ago the event happened.What are other uses for this feature request?

Good idea, thanks! We don't know the implementation yet, but we'll see how to go about it next time we update timelines. Note that this will only count yes, not months or days (as there's currently no way for the system to calculate those).
