Recent-Articles UI Search

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

Currently, when I first click on the 'Articles & Categories' tab, only the most recent five articles are shown under the 'Recently Updated Articles' section. I often find myself wishing for a more comprehensive list of recent articles for a variety of convenience reasons.   For example, if I am putting out some sort of periodic status update, I want to be able to see all the articles which fell within a certain date range. Alternatively, if I am working across multiple articles, some of which have only been recently created (i.e. for use in the Mention system), they can quickly be pushed beyond the end of the most recent five - often for me to forget about them entirely until I click on Uncategorized Articles some time later.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

Instead of having only the five most recent articles appear in the list, I would suggest adding the option (via dropdown) to display more items on the Recent Articles list and/or have some means (perhaps also via dropdowns) to constrain the list to within a certain date range. This would make the writing workflow a little easier to disentangle for me; I tend to write a lotof interrelated articles in rapid succession, and I'm sure others share that tendency.

What are other uses for this feature request?

Being able to see when more articles were published relative to one another from the convenience of the Recent Articles column would be useful for finding articles which qualify for common social media prompts (i.e. 'What was your best article of the month?'). Furthermore, for those of us who use worldbuilding roadmaps or progress sheets, being able to see when our own articles dropped within a certain range would be useful for gathering block links as proof of progress.

The Team's Response

Not enough support for this. The idea of pinned articles was an interesting one, I would like to see a suggestion about this separately
