What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
I run a roleplay forum and I'd like to transfer my board (jcink) and current playerbase directly onto WA now that a discussion board is a feature. The main issue is transfering the database (primary that which includes the roleplay posts) over to WA. I asked in the help section over on the Discord, and this was the solution offered to me when combined with the future discussion board categories.How does this feature request address the current situation?
This would allow people that run roleplay forums (there's actually quite a few!) to directly integrate those boards into WA pretty painlessly while maintaining all that they've worked on and written thus far.What are other uses for this feature request?
I'm not knowledable enough about website design and transfer to answer this in detail, but I do know it'd increase alot of possible new members. The roleplay forum community is quite large, and it'd add a whole new level of options and customer reach for the website.The Team's Response
Hello there :) API endpoints are coming from all entities on World Anvil, there are many of them that are sorely needed, looking at the amount of responses I would say that Discussion boards are not Tier 1, but I can consider it a tier II call and will be treated as such :) (so not on the first phase but soon after!)
