Linking to a bbcode anchor in a different article without copy-pasting the entire URL

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

Presently, in order to link to a specific anchor in a different article, you must copy-paste the article's URL into the bbcode tag. This is fine, unless you change the title of the article after the fact. Then that link doesn't work and you have to manually fix the bbcode to link to the correct article. If you have multiple articles that link back in this way, that's a lot of unnecessary effort.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

Why can't we use the same bbcode we use to link articles in general? Instead of [url:https://www.worldanvil.com/w/WorldAnvilCodex/a/bbcode#anchor-example], you could use something like [person:id|#anchor]? Then, if you change the name of the article later, the links still work.

What are other uses for this feature request?

The Team's Response

This suggestion did not reach the required level of support during its voting period.   This request did not receive close to as much attention as it should - I am not sure why - but I will investigate how easy it will be to implement. If easy it will be done straight off if not it will be updated so can go back to voting

This would be useful for the codex as well. Though I currently use variables to avoid the c&p issue.

This is a nice request, as currently it is not possible to target a specific heading within an article with BBCode. I like it :)
