BBCode tables colspan rowspan columns -rows table
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Currently, the options for tables in BBCode are limited to very basic tables. A lot of the issues can be addressed with CSS, but the ability to span multiple columns or rows, like with colspan and rowspan in html remains out of reach, with no ability to approximately replicate it available. The best solution I have now is to make tables outside of world anvil and bring them in as images, which is more time consuming and prevents interaction with a lot of other great world anvil features, like variables and the mention system.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Bringing column span and row span into the BBCode would give a lot more room for customization with the built in tables, and saves a lot of trouble having to make tables in different programs and import them as pictures.
The Team's Response
Thanks for the suggestion! We have accepted this under investigation, as we like the idea but we want to check it fits with our future plans before saying it will happen.
