What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

When you're editing a language, you can see all the words that have been added in a long list, however, that is only when you're editing. Furthermore, it's hard to search for words if you don't know precisely the word you are looking for.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

Adding the ability to see all the words in a language in an open 'dictionary' panel would make searching for words easier if you don't know the exact word you're looking for. It would also make referencing the language while world-building/writing more convenient.

What are other uses for this feature request?

Depending on its execution, a dictionary could allow the categorizing of words to make the construction of a language, as well as referencing it, easier.
For Example: if you are starting off with a language it is useful, to begin with roots (such as Mor). Being able to categorize them as roots and easily access that category while making words (Mordor, Moria) would be very helpful. If you are making a language to help name locations, a category of words related to geography such as 'plain,' 'river,' or 'mountain,' would also be helpful. That way when making a geographic feature you can open the language article, then dictionary, and go to the geography category.

The Team's Response

Closed due to lack for votes.   Hey guys, that will be very hard to do. Most languages that have a dictionary on WA are coming from VulgarLang with literally above 3000 words each. Listing those will be slowing down your whole page - I will see what I can do but let's not hold our breath. Perhaps we can mark some words as "featured" ?   Message me on #development-discussion on Discord to discuss.
