What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
The Notebook at present is somewhat limited in the ability to format notes and even then you can't see that formatting without using a button... and then you aren't able to edit the content without going back. With the nature of the Notebook and the content likely to be stored there, the Notebook would be far more useful if one could edit and see the formatted text at the same time.
I see this as being an optional editor switch that's entirely separate from the Article Editor selection. For most purposes, I prefer the power and flexibility of Euclid. Because the Notebook is exclusively used on the Admin side of World Anvil, I think having a separate editor option that allows for WYSIWYG editing in Notebooks would be a valuable upgrade for many WA users and greatly increase the potential utility of the Notebook feature.
What are other uses for this feature request?
For those that need to use Euclid for advanced formatting and markup control, having a WYSIWYG editor in the Notebook would provide a quick markup tool for developing and proofing content that could then be copy/pasted into Euclid for final markup and publishing later.
