Jeynta

Jeynta is the capital of the Great Kivosian Empire, and is believed to be the largest city in the world, at least by population. It was constructed in the first years of that empire, but its strategic location and political importance allowed it to grow quickly. Jeynta is known not just for being the home of the empress, but also a city with great scholars, scientists, and arcane traditions.

Government

As the empire's capital, Jeynta has a well-structured government and is home to the Imperial Palace as well as several bureaucratic institutions of great importance. Law enforcement is efficient, but the city is so large that crime groups are able to operate nevertheless.

4 walls in a diamond shape around the city. There are soldiers stationed in the city, as well as a city watch and numerous members of the Imperial Guard.

Industry & Trade

Jeynta trades to and from ports on the banks of the nearby Jeyar and Minta Rivers, through which exchange with Saydrol, Morund, Avasi, and Onunea is conducted. and by land toother parts of the Capital Province.

Infrastructure

There are multiple roads leading from the city, and the Imperial Palace, the High Temple, and the Royal Library are located roughly in the center of the city, the most well-defended area. Though the city within the walls is the most well known part, a large portion of Jeynta's residents live and work in buildings just outside of them.

History

The construction of Jeynta began 178 years ago, shortly after the Great Kivosian Empire rose to power.

Geography

Located just west of the Jeyar River, and about a day's walk from the Minta River to the west. Its name is a portmanteau of both rivers' names.

Natural Resources

Farming occurs nearby, helped by the presence of the rivers and irrigation.
