Empress Tahira bint Amin al-Jeyari (a.k.a. al-Shadid)
Leader of the Great Kivosian Empire for about 18 years, Tahira's time as empress began when it was in a fragile position. The emperor had fallen in battle against Qistan armies, boosting their confidence and demoralizing the imperial Kivosians. Tahira had been chosen to be her uncle's heir 2 years earlier for her diplomatic aptitude, her knowledge of military tactics and bureaucracy, and her wisdom beyond her years. She put these skills to good use, pushing back the Qistans and establishing peace treaties with the nearby realm of Morund. Today, the Empress is fairly popular, but as of at late her influence in Movak and the Southern Province is decreasing, and the surviving fragments of the rebellion oppose her.
