18 - Moorbounders By Moonlight
General Summary
Finally sorting out their paperwork, the party show their licenses and mission posting to the gate guard, allowing them to enter the wayfarer camps. They meet a small family of sun elves, who offer them passage towards the moorbounder caves. The party hires two elves, an experienced Eliase and her daughter Rhasi. The party board the cart of a giant riding lizard called Puff and journey into the Embrefal jungle to the west.

Rhasi and Eliase make sure no trouble befalls the party through the dense forestry. Before reaching the moorbounder caves, the party hunt for game to lure the bristled beasts. Mender, Kalani and Dhumkk'd handily ambush a pack of velociraptors, grabbing a number of bodies for meat. They choose to investigate the caverns before night falls, while the beasts are still resting. Kalani sneaks into the caverns, only barely dodging the attention of one before being spotted by another. He quickly stealths away and rejoins the party, where they decide to wait for nightfall to track them.
After dusk, a pack of moorbounders leave their caverns to hunt. The party follow quickly behind; unfortunately, however, the moorbounders are keen to their tracking and turn the tables to attack. Surrounded on all sides, the party manage to defeat the bristled moorbounder and the two smaller beasts beside it. Victorious, they rest for the night and journey to return their priza to Embrefal.
