Spelling the death knell for Imperialism everywhere, the Sakhradi Canal was a marvel of engineering at the time and in the modern era still - constructed by the fledgling city-state of Sakhrad after the Khadagan Commonwealth refused them trading rights and cut them out of a vast majority of Oceanic Trade.   The Sakhradi Canal single-handedly showed the world the power of a free-willed people - and with the establishment of the canal, Sakhrad single-handedly assured its dominance over the Oceanic Trade of much of south and eastern Zheng-Kitar and cut off its rival, the Khadagan Commonwealth, from the trade it had once cut Sakhrad off from.
