Twin Moons Zeo Weapon Training
Twin Moons is a style of zeo weapon handling and tactics developed by Richo Tong, a former gun-dancer who became a zeo pilot later in life. Shortly before retiring from mercenary work (a rarity for gun-dancers, who usually perish before reaching old age), Tong passed on the unique style to four of their longtime partners and fellow combatants, who primarily piloted Exo-Rigs such as the Rakke. After several months, new zeo pilots began to approach Tong to learn the style.
Twin Moons was adapted from the more common Twin Suns school of gun-dancer training, which emphasizes simultaneously suppressing enemies with one weapon and taking precise aim with another. Twin Suns is meant to be utilized in target-rich battlefield environments, where survival is just as important as eliminating one’s target.
In contrast, Twin Moons focuses on eliminating specific targets with both weapons, taking advantage of a zeo’s more robust automation tools to assist in aiming and compensating for recoil. More advanced Twin Moons practitioners use their zeos’ sensors to gain a 360-degree view of the battlefield and identify high-priority targets, allowing them to pull off tightly choreographed chains of attacks that eliminate targets quickly and efficiently.
Twin Moons is not a widely practiced style of weapon handling, but its users have been recognized for their improved kill records and remarkable calm in the midst of pitched battles. However, the style’s lack of defensive tools means that users rely primarily on eliminating enemies before they can launch a counterattack.
