Gun-Dancer Cybernetic Implants & Augmentations
Gun-Dancers employ a wide range of techniques to gain an edge over other duelists and common soldiers, often resorting to experimental or black-market cyberware and augmentations to improve their reflexes, accuracy, or resilience. Due to their focus on precision execution, small arms, and solo operations, Gun-Dancers excel in commando and close-quarters combat missions.
Augmentations can include adrenaline injectors, synthetic muscle grafts that automatically compensate for the recoil of the user’s weapons, and dermal implants that supplement normal respiration by allowing users to “breathe” through their skin (thus decreasing the buildup of lactic acid). In more extreme cases, Gun-Dancers will selectively deactivate their own pain receptors in order to continue fighting while wounded.
Individuals have been identified with additional implants such as ocular software to identify weaknesses in an opponent’s armor, aim-bot programs wired to the user’s limbs, or target-marking software that allows the user to track and prioritize multiple targets in their immediate vicinity.
