Chelae-Pod
Generally used for external maintenance in hostile environments and named for their crab-like appearance, chelae-pods are a tougher drone type that lacks anti-gravitic generators. Although their basic tools can pose a threat at close range, Pact operators often exchange them for longer-range meson emitters.
The overall shape of the Chelae-pod is used to lampoon Pact commanders via the clumsy, buffoonish, eponymous character Colonel Crabby in the satirical show. In reality, while Chelae-pods are slow and deliberate, in specific circumstances they can be agile and precise in their movements. They are most valued by Pact combat teams for their resistance to damage compared to many support types, and have proven particularly useful in defending key objectives once taken.
