EM Warp Field
“Warp” fields composed of electromagnetic waves are widely used to disrupt targeting systems, jam communications, and interfere with short- and long-range sensors. These fields have become part of the landscape of conventional warfare, and the education of many battlefield commanders usually involves learning how to neutralize or mitigate the effects of these fields.
Generally, warp fields generate standing electromagnetic waves whose frequency can be tuned to interfere with specific types of systems. Alternatively, a warp field’s frequency can be rapidly modulated to align with a broad range of systems, effectively flooding those systems’ sensors or channels with a barrage of “noise.”
Warp fields were originally generated by infantry-portable structures or integrated into a static strongpoint’s defenses. As warfare evolved, however, Pact forces in particular found new and inventive ways to deploy these fields, including the use of Boku Warper Drone that provide a mobile platform for field generation.
