Defense Node
Semi-intelligent security drones are not all mobile, and many automated defense systems are deployed across the One Hundred Suns in support of or instead of security personnel. Some locations make human patrols or sentries impractical, while highly mobile zeoform warfare often uses orbit-deployable defense nodes to secure static locations, thus freeing up limited zeoform teams to perform more offensive operations. Such defenses, however, have limitations, not least of which is the opportunity presented to foes to repurpose them against their owners.
