The Tide has served as the premier weekly newspaper publication in the city of Wiltide for over 25 years. Its last publication came shortly after the Rysmarckian occupation of Wiltide in Mereath 3498 3E.
The Tide, Vol. 25, Issue 14
Welcome, Rysmarckians!
The government of Wiltide, overseeing the city of Wiltide and the surrounding areas, has formally declared fealty to House Rysmarck of Avon. This development came after the months-long siege of the city from both land and seas. General Tybalt of Dietrich of Avon was subsequently appointed as military governor to oversee the city's transition into Avonian rule, simultaneous to Mayor Sheldon Smithson stepping down from office. As of this publication, it has been the confirmed that a combined force of Wiltdish and Avonian military personnel will oversee the military occupation. The governor has promised minimal infringement on the previous Wiltidish standard of living so long as citizens abide to adjustments with the local government. Multiple residential areas are expected to host Avonian troops, including the outer districts. Local authorities express relief and thankfulness towards the Rysmarckians for keeping Wiltide mostly intact.
Festival! or Flop?
Preparations for the Blue Solstice Festival have come to an abrupt halt to many protests from Fysburne natives and beyond. The Festival has been a Wiltide tradition since the Second Era, holding both cultural and economic significance to the region. This decision came following the city falling under Avon's control. The city government, then under the command of Governor Tybalt of Dietrich, required extra resources from all the districts, leading the outer settlements to drastically shift their work schedules. For Fysburne, the changes meant cutting back on Blue Solstice Festival preparations to ensure the district sustained itself while also providing support to inner Wiltide. Councilwoman Jeanette McHardy has voiced vehement opposition to the central district's demands but a veto to overturn the decision was denied. This event has also sparked unsettling debates over the city council's current state and presence in the future of Wiltidish politics.
Business

Increased tariffs are set to be imposed on passenger vessels coming in and out of Wiltide docks. The notification follows increased security on naval routes leading into and out of the Wiltide region.
Craftsmen registration for a practical license required for weaponsmiths and armorsmiths. Acquiring proper materials and a suitable workstation will require a license.
Despite changes in the government control, the College of Wiltide proclaims it will continue to dole out magical goods and services as per the guidelines provided by the Avon Accords.
