In Mother's Arms

Peace my sapling and come to rest,
In mother's arms
Your dreams throughout sweet and blessed,
In mother's arms
Skies above all a-dimming,
The breeze coos its soft singing,
Gently your head is laying,
In mother's arms

Pray the spirits to guard your slumber,
In mother's arms
This comfort and warmth do re'mber,
In mother's arms
Skies above all a-dimming,
The breeze coos its soft singing,
Gently your head is laying,
In mother's arms

While the moon watches over thee,
In mother's arms
Your sleep goes calm and free,
In mother's arms
Skies above all a-dimming,
The breeze coos its soft singing,
Gently your head is laying,
In mother's arms

The forest dozes as you remain
In mother's arms
Til the weary feelings wane
In mother's arms
Skies above all a-dimming,
The breeze coos its soft singing,
Gently your head is laying,
In mother's arms

The song originated in the Kingdom of the Evergreens during Queen Xolara Ke an Eri's reign. Written initially in Sylvan, "In Mother's Arms" has been translated into numerous languages, first in Elven and Gnomish and then much later in Varian Common. The song is typically performed as a lullaby for children, but some iterations have made its lyrics focus more on the religious connotations concerning the mother goddess Visarias Eri.
