Defences
Amarith has two layers of walls, one around the city and one around the keep. The walls have machicolations. a moat with a drawbridge, catapults and ballistae with alchemical ammunition, and alchemical traps placed in preparation for an assault. These traps are usually placed in the gatehouses, and if the defending soldiers have to retreat to the keep, they usually place traps around the city. Most of them are explosives and gases, but some are more unusual.
Industry & Trade
There are various merchants and craftsmen within the city, and farms outside the city. Amarith contains the most alchemists of any city in Zelunica.
Infrastructure
The roads in and around Amarith are well-maintained. There is a large port in the eastern part of the city.

History
Amarith was founded by Colart in 1267.
Architecture
Many buildings are wattle and daub. Some buildings are completely made of wood, and a few of the more expensive buildings (e.g. nobles' houses) are made of stone.
Geography
The city is on the coast, with the sea to the east, and plains to the north, west, and south. A river runs through the middle of the city.
