Tabaxi

Tabaxi are a race of human-like cats. Their origins are quite mysterious as no Divine has claimed to be their creator and the Tabaxi themselves have lost much of their history in their nomadic travels. They have all the dexterity of their feline ancestors as well as the diversity and drive of their human side. It seems that no matter where you are in Zeimia, there seems to be a race of Tabaxi unique to that area.

In the North, Tabaxi tend to lighter colored with a thicker coat of fur to protect them the colder elements of the region. In the southern areas, Tabaxi have thinner fur and a slender frame to assist in surviving the heat and hard to catch prey in the desserts. The Olympian Isles hold a group of Tabaxi with darker fur and lack of their usual fear of water. Tabaxi in Mélemardor usually resemble a smaller version of their race with a bobtail and tabby-like fur.

In all cases Tabaxi share an incredible, and often dangerous, sense of curiosity. This brings them to reach out and discover new people, places, objects, and anything that catches their interest. It is probable that this drive has led them to populate most of Zeimia. Most of them also have an innate fear of water, sharp claws, and an unrivaled natural speed. While Tabaxi are usually pretty accepting and tolerant of other races, most others see Tabaxi as inferior and treat them as such.

While having different ears and nose structures, a Tabaxi's sense of smell and hearing is comparable to humans. Their eyesight is improved with the ability to see in darkness. All the remaining senses all seem to be comparable to humans as well.
