Zeimia

3rd Era

Created by

Zeimia is a world of multiple cultures and races. A world where gods are as real as men and beasts, magic is as prevalent as nature itself, and monsters lurk in the dark. Different pantheons of gods have different realms of influence in the world and have shaped the culture of the beings that live there.   In the North, the Norsemen control a strong navy and offer trade to those they do not raid. They pride themselves in their strength, honor, and crafts. Most seek to provide enough for their families, some want to raid for glory and riches, but all want to prove their worthiness to enter Valhalla. Past the mountain to the northwest lives the dreaded giants and the battlefields of the gods.   In the southwest of the map, in Poseidon's Playground, lies the Olympian Isles. These people pride themselves on their freedom and individuality. Each island holds their own government, legends, and dangers. Their gods seem to care more about their own pleasures than the safety of their people which have made the Olympians war with each other as often as with others. When they are at peace, the Olympian Isles are a place of beauty, culture, wine, and mysterious magic.   To the east lies Mélemardor. This small continent is the home of many elves and those that pursue learning magic on an academic level. All the gods are ignored in the search for personal power. There are prestigious schools of magic here that teach young would-be mages and experiment with the deep mysteries and workings of magic. This leads to mystic wonders... and arcane horrors.   We come at this point to a change in Zeimia. The Norsemen and Olympians have been at peace for a long time. Perhaps too long. The Elves continue their work in relative reclusivity. Rumors persist of a dark threat in the Jovarth Desert with little to no evidence to support it. Dark times are coming. It is at times like these that Heroes are born.
