Jovarth Desert

The Jovarth Desert is as deadly as it is dry. It is unknown what kind of animals or monster may reside within it as most who dare to travel there do not return. It would seem that even the gods do not know much about or, perhaps, they have agreed to not reveal its secrets. Some say that Apollo, in a fit of rage, brought fire and fury to the land in punishment for a now unknown crime. Still others suggest that the desert is instead a barrier to keep an evil to south at bay, unable to cross the deadly boundary.

Geography

The Jovarth Desert covers a large amount of land to the southern ends of known world of Zeimia. From the Blood Channel to as far south as any explorer dared to go, these infamous sands spread. Few dare to cross its high dunes and brave the frquent and devestating sand storms except for a small group of nomadic Tabaxi, and they guard their secrets well. This leaves most of the desert itself unmapped and undiscovered.

Fauna & Flora

There are myths surrounding creatures that live above and below the sands, but they have never been confirmed. The heat and lack of water would suggest that only the most hardy of plants and animals could survive here. That being said, most of the desert remain unexplored, and possible oasis' could hold unknown life.

Natural Resources

There could very well be treasure to be mined and discovered within the sands, but none has been brave or lucky enough to claim them.
