The Amolaxx

In a world with 3 moons, rather close and rather large, a raging ocean is thought to be impossible to cross. yet...
It happened once over a millennium ago aboard a ship called the Amolaxx. Most the population of Zenna are descendant of this faithful ride, yet most are unaware it even occurred. The boat stands to this day, as a beacon of the impossible in a large cavern, over one hundred miles inland where it was carried a half millennium ago to be the capital building of a small country that was short lived. Now, a small tribe uses it as a town hall, their history of the boat broken over hundreds of years of stories told.
They believe it to be the boat their people road down from the heavens, and one day, their God will be back and use it to carry them all to their homeland in the sky, the land of sunsets and dancing moonlight.
The real story? Nobody would believe you if you told them, but a thousand years ago, in a land far from the shores of Zenna, a few thousand convicts of crimes against the magic legion, were packed onto a boat to sail across a raging sea no one would choose to cross. No destination, with no knowledge of sailing, how did the Amolaxx survive a monstrous sea nobody had ever crossed before? Nobody knows, what we do know, is these convicts, now free men and women, went on to create large warring empires with no recollection of their trip a crossed the sea. With each generation natural selection has left the population of Zenna more powerful then the last.
Magic is deep rooted in the very soil they walk on, magical creatures wander the forest, the natives with their own powerful magic. A land where only the strong survive lead to a powerful people.
Meanwhile in the land across the sea, they long forgot the Amolaxx, thinking those aboard perished in an unforgiving sea. Technology advanced and magic becomes scares, but present. With each generation, decreases, then levels out to weak, but there. they have now invented airship, and will soon discover what they sent to die on the ocean is alive well. Too well.
