It was discovered by Zarqonian Terran scientists of Athering that the Magi could be used as an A.I./battery for autonomous systems taking care of living spaces. Only one Magi, Briony, was ever used this way; by the time it was discovered, most Magi had fled the cruelties of their neighbors and were harder to capture.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
The Magi were contained to their ancestral lands in the Northern Wastes of New Erika. However, they were known to travel all over the world, and did so frequently.
Civilization and Culture
History
The Magi are an indigenous species to the planet Zarqon. By the time Terran settlers arrived on the planet, the Magi species had already been severely cut down by their own war with the Suen.
First contact with Terrans was cautious. Soon a friendship emerged, and equally soon it blossomed into genocidal tendencies from the Terrans.
By the time of Reunification with the Empire, Magi were extinct.
