Lyriation Horses

Lyriation horses are a breed specific to the Hook region. These are a type of draft horse that were indigenous within the region however, after years of breeding for muscle and endurance, the horse is now no longer recognizable from it's wild counterpart. Standing a head taller than most men and broader than two side by side, this horse is bred to the plow and long days in the field. Its coat is in two parts, a fluffy down like undercoat and a semi curled overcoat. Natural coloration for these horses are large jagged spots, like sunbursts, that vary from tans to rich reds. It is not unusual to see very lightly colored Lyriations, however, these are mostly seen pulling extravagant coaches. What truly sets this horse apart from others is its semi-awakened state.   It is unclear how but the Lyriation horse was first awakened by Lyrial, an Equus horse trader who had made her home within the Hook in 3253KA. Scholars believe that a bond was formed between the awakened Lyrial and the beast of burden through their kinship. It is also believed that this sort of bond can occur with other Beast-Folk and their kin. After this awakening took place within her live stock a type of awakened offspring was birthed. This offspring could attain greater feats of physical power and had a knack for quirky characteristics some suggested bordered on a higher intelligence.   Due to the mystery behind awakening and these horses, most if not all stables who house potential Lyriations keep an Equus on staff. It is unknown if this is need as some reports indicate Lyriations coming about naturally. It should be noted that a horse bred from these horses may not become a true Lyriation itself as the semi-awakened state is a requirement for the title of Lyriation. There are Bidar, or awakened, Lyriations which are a version of these beast of burden that posses a fully awakened Aura. These horses sell for a king's ransom and are born less frequently than albinos.

Very cool! :D What does being Awakened, or semi-awakened mean? That they can perform magic, or have a heightened intellect?

that is either a post summercamp article or a summercamp article depending on if it will fit a prompt. I am only allotted so much time to writing new content. but it's a bit of both primarily the magic part though.
