Special abilities
Gilgamesh has always found that he’s able to use the power of the forest to protect or punish others with the aid of his sidekick fairy. Between the two of them, no enemy was able to get within five feet of any ally of his. The fairy would mark them with a warden's wrath, making it easier for Gilgamesh to use the wind to pull the enemies towards him instead of those he has sworn to protect.
When push comes to shove, Gilgamesh would use the powers granted to him by his faith, thus turning the blood of his enemies into nourishment. In the more dire situations, he has found himself using a combination of mediums to connect him to the wrathful side of nature, making him a one-man sized army that would never fall.

Personal history
When he was born, he was abandoned as a newborn for reasons unconfirmed. It was assumed to be because his eyes were too dull and size far too small for a normal Minotaur. While alone in the forest, he did not cry and only looked around his area, admiring the forest. Lady luck was with him as his new mother found him and took him in to a nearby small cabin. There the two lived a peaceful life.
Though he was slow to retain information, one thing that came almost natural to Gilgamesh was the love of the forest. Every day Gilgamesh would head to the forest early in the morning; growing, tending to, and plucking herbs. During meals, his mother would prepare dishes using many deadly herbs to help grow his constitution.
It was during one of these early mornings at the age of 5 that he had encounter his new big sister. The fog was quite thick that morning when he heard noises far more unusual than the natural birds and his own hooves. There was a patch of unnatural quietness that made Gilga move towards the area, only to find a dark-skinned female elf, malnourished and quite harried. It didn't take much prompting for the young minotaur to offer some smoked snake jerky, something he had been working on for the last few days, to which the female elf cautiously accepted. In exchange, the two had a brief exchange of words, during which Gilgamesh made the childish decision to have this female elf become his new older sister. After a bit of prompting and the promise of more snake jerky, Gilga brought this female elf, Syndrina, to meet his mother.

Sexuality
Gilgamesh never really understood the difference until he met his beloved and found out he is considered straight and monogamous.
Education
Gilgamesh was taught all the ancient scrolls and dead languages, however, due to his memory issues, he couldn’t retain it all. Even though learning things was tough, it didn’t deter him from relearning until he found a way around it. Learning how to write, Gilgamesh was given a booklet by his mother to keep notes inside. It was quite easy for him to write it all down so that any thought, idea, or new things he learned he would never forget again. The only thing that he never shared was that while looking for herbs in his youth, he would hear a soft and kind voice singing a hymn about the different plants around.
Employment
Around his teenage years, Gilgamesh was able to fight properly according to his sister and mother's standards. Gilgamesh would go out on small adventures with his sister, exploring places long forgotten by time on some of the quieter trips or more exciting things like counting newly acquired gems from local thieves. At Syndrina's prompting, the pair would occasionally 'borrow' gold from corrupted lords and taxmen. Gilgamesh's favorite adventure was outwitting the local poachers overhunting the forest.
Eventually, the two earned the nickname “The Duo” from the nearby towns. Gilgamesh thought of it as a badge of honor, being recognized for always being seen with his sister. She once tried explaining it and how it wasn't quite an honor, soon saving her breath for he refused to note it down in the booklet, at which point, it was best to let him be. Despite this, they both continued to grow their fame around the local cities and towns, sometimes aiding in returning lost relics, most times charging a fee for such returns. They were always careful and never took jobs that carried too much risk.

Accomplishments & Achievements
Gilgamesh has accomplished many things that he’s written several books about, however, to most people these are nothing noteworthy. For example, one of the biggest achievements he accomplished is perfecting the smoked snake jerky recipe.
Being the Gatekeeper to his sister, Gilgamesh would refuse anyone who tried to wed or court her. It soon became a ritual that anyone who tried to gain Syndrina's favor would have to enter combat with him, regardless of occupation. They would need to be recognized as a capable protector by Gilgamesh before Syndrina would even entertain the thought of accepting them.
Finding love, becoming a father of 13, being loved daily by his wife.
Mentoring his ‘daughter’ (his sister's first born) in the love of alchemy. He showed her that nature is both cruelest but also the most merciful existence. As such, the world of Alchemy is also vast and ever changing, capable of making even the most common potion vastly more potent or completely changed simply by refining or tweaking it to such a degree that few were ever willing to go.
In his older years, he finally accomplished a lifelong goal: a natural poison concoction that could harm even the “gods”.

Failures & Embarrassments
Gilgamesh has had his share of failures, but the one that caused him the most pain would be The Mithral Mines. He aided a friend in going into the depths of The Mithral Mines, reaching deep into the Underdark and the dangers therein. Down there, they encountered one bad event after another, the expedition ending in failure. Gilgamesh never forgave himself for the loss of over half the people, many he called friend dying in the attempt to escape.
The biggest embarrassment Gilgamesh ever experienced was the time he went into an open bath hot spring, where he met the love of his life. The events leading up to him catching the eye of the woman is still unbeknownst to him. However, his sister always teases the couple about the event since she had never seen him so shy before.

Mental Trauma
Only two events stand out enough to have caused him mental trauma: his mother being chased by vampires and the Failure of the Mithral Mines.
The first would normally have scarred him but instead fuels him into blindless rage, not wanting to relive those helpless moments again.

Intellectual Characteristics
He is always carrying a vast supply of food and resources on his person, secure in various bags of holding. Each bag of holding is organized to the point someone would question whether or not he is slow minded.
Morality & Philosophy
There is no true good or true evil. People create what they believe so it is best you live your life while respecting nature. Death comes to all regardless of nobility or heritage and the only immortality you can have are the tales you leave behind.
Never harm his loved ones, otherwise you will witness a bit of his known hate rage to vampires.

Taboos
Few could ever survive being a vampire near him. Even those with a smidgen of the bloodline are susceptible to his hate-fueled rage. For those aiming to attack one of his loved ones, beware. The consequences are dire.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
His primary motivation is to just be happy and enjoy making new strides in alchemical studies with his wife or ‘daughter’. Beyond that, he hopes to succeed in fully cultivating his own fruits while managing a kingdom. He learned quite early in life the secrets to extending one's life and has used the new potions to allow him to prolong his own death for an extra 60 years. His favorite thing to do is make trips to his sister's kingdom and drag her to the Family Picnic that’s held twice a year.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Gilgamesh enjoys making new foods with different seasoning/herbs though he typically forgets that most of his food has poison in it. After more than a few times of being berated by Syndrina, he always carries an antidote with him. Eventually he’s learned how to make the antidotes either flavorless or mixed with some berries to give them a bit of a sweet taste but not enough so that you’d get tired of drinking them.
Likes & Dislikes
Likes having drinks with the family and friends, while also being able to let his inner dwarf take over and laugh to his heart's content, and going on camping trips.
He absolutely hates vampires. The only other thing he dislikes as much as vampires is traveling by sea. Traveling by air not so much; its more tolerable.

Virtues & Personality perks
He is pretty easy going and obeys some laws, though not all. He usually has blood apricots (a superior healing fruit) that he will force down someone's throat if they are unconscious, but only if he likes them or if they have proven useful.
Vices & Personality flaws
Gilgamesh tends to forget many things so if he doesn’t write it down in his book within the day it will be as if you never told him. He also tends to get angry very quickly if he witnesses his family members getting hurt.
Personality Quirks
He can always be seen eating or drinking something. It never fails that he eats out of habit while either thinking, busy, or just hungry. His mood can be determined by observing what he is eating typically.
Hygiene
He is a strong believer that unless the dirt is uncomfortable, he doesn’t shower. Only when he is covered in blood or gooey stuff will he willingly bathe. The only other time is when he is told by loved ones that they have reached their limit of his foresty scent, as they kindly say. When he does bathe, he uses enough of the soaps and shampoos that his mother taught him to last for a fair amount of time.
Social
Family Ties
Gilgamesh never did learn who his birth parents were, but he never pursued it, he learned the family you make it far better than the ones that were born into.
Religious Views
Gilgamesh understood there are gods in the world, though he never really cared except for the ones that were kind to his mother and himself. Even though he never met “Father Time” he considers him to be like a grandpa to him when his mother told him the family secrets.
Those that are worshipped by his dwarven kingdom.
The one that he likes the most is Gaia, and those that follow her.
Also, any other gods that his BFF Asha says are nice.

Social Aptitude
Gilga never really cared what others thought of him, likely instilling the same trait into his kin and possibly Scarlett. He has lived in a variety of lifestyles: growing up in the forest as a lowly commoner, spending a number of years as a ruffian, sliding the scales to adventurer and mercenary, rising all the way to a king. He has always been himself and has seen all aspects of life, giving him a firm sense of right and wrong.
Mannerisms
Gilgamesh would have grown up innocent to the world if it were not for his sister Syndrina. As such, he now thinks a bit like a Drow with some bits of dwarf stubbornness. Overall, he comes across as very happy as if there is no stress though he is always thinking about something that leaves him with a very aloof facial expression.
Hobbies & Pets
Cooking, harvesting, skinning, traveling, gardening, alchemy, drinking. Gilgamesh has many friends with pets so he feels no need to have any of his own.
Speech
Gilgamesh's speech is normal considering his background. When he was younger, everything he thought of left his mouth. With time, he learned to think a bit before speaking. He has learned how to be more proper and respectful in the manner of his speech, but once he’s had a few drinks all of it goes out the window and his jolly old self comes out.
Relationships
Wealth & Financial state
Gilgamesh never understood the reason to have more wealth than needed. As such, he never could a reason to want or need to have money so he’d just give all the coin to his sister or wife, depending on who is there at the time. On occasion, some of his hard earned coin made its way to the dwarf nobles who worry for their king and his lack of monetary greed.

Honorary & Occupational Titles
In his youth he’d made a name for himself with his beloved sister they were known as “The Duo”.
During a dark period in his life, he’d gained a title: “The Fluffy Wall of Goodness”.
The only other title he has earned and given by many: “Lord of Mithral Halls, Ruler of the Dwarven Kingdom”.
