While viewed as outlaws by the Kingdom of Falinor for generations for their refusal to submit to the Crown's authority, as doom encroached upon Falinor’s eastern border, the Gray Blades entered the fray. They fought without command or heraldry, turning the tide in critical battles on the eastern front, their sacrifices saving cities, villages, and thousands of innocent lives; with the east secured, the Gray Blades continued to fight alongside the armies of the West, pushing the Cursed Hordes back across the Dragonsbane Mountains and recapturing Hadal's Gate, which would remain under Falinorian control until the end of the war.
