9.22 - Graveyard of Heroes

General Summary

Robin Adlehyde, Grunk, and Roland Bucklebraut ventured southeast on the trail of Boris the Cutpurse, who stole property from each of the three adventurers. Relying on Grunk’s bugbear intuition, they tracked him deep into the mists of a forgotten battlefield and discovered his camp and stash of pilfered goods, only to be ambushed by living corpses. Grunk and Roland fell to the zombies, but Robin outmaneuvered them and managed to get ahold of some spell scrolls from Boris’s trove, which allowed him to drive the undead back into the mists. Only able to grab a bagfull of loot and one of his fallen companions, Robin chose to drag back the cooling corpse of his bugbear friend and paid for his resurrection using a diamond taken from Boris’s stash. Roland, presumed dead, was left on the battlefield, and Boris himself remains at large, a wanted man.
