Damon Arua is the reigning Satrap of Eastern Lilira. A sickly, diminutive child Damon Arua, despite her title, exercises little actual control over her Satrapy. She stays confined in her chambers, and is under strict orders to practice nearly constant bed rest by the true political power in Eastern Lilira, her uncle Abner Ambarita, Regent of Eastern Lilira (also pictured right). Despite her illness Damon Arua does her best to oversee what few duties her stamina allows her. Between bouts of illness Damon is also tutored extensively, her education streamlined and intensified to quickly prepare her for total rule when she reaches the age of majority. (In Eastern Lilira the age of majority is thirteen.) Yet, with near constant sickness, factional infighting, the autocratic tendencies of her uncle, and an agressive Western Lilira Damon's hold on power is tenuous at best.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Short for her age, with a persistent cough and sunken eyes, Damon Arua looks sick. Her skin, though still somewhat tan, is lusterless and ashen, and her long hair appears dry and cracked. Her large brown eyes betray a deep sadness and a forced maturity of one far too young to handle such stress.
Facial Features
Damon Arua has large slightly sloping brown eyes, sunken into their sockets. Her face is often contorted into a painful, startled look, both a result of her age and her illness.

Damon Arua often wears red or pink silks. Her clothing is nearly always light to keep her cool and prevent unnecessary physical exertion. On her finger she wears a large gold ring studded with a large ruby and, during official ceremonies, wears the crown of Eastern Lilira, though it is slightly too large for her small head. Damon Arua often dresses in attire woven with silver thread or filament, causing many of her outfits to sparkle with a metallic sheen.

Damon Arua was born in 635 A.L. She was the only living child of Ayla Arua II and Naia-Imulan Vannak. Her other siblings were all stillbirths, and her mother died giving birth to her. Her father died when she was two under suspicious circumstances allowing her maternal uncle, Abner Ambarita, to assume the regency. Under his watchful gaze Damon Arua has grown slowly, and has been sick since birth despite multiple attempts, magical and mundane, to heal her of her condition. Tutored constantly to assume the throne of Eastern Lilira her childhood has been fraught. Damon Arua has survived two assassination attempts, one at the age of two and the other at the age of six. Both attempts have been claimed to have originated from Western Lilira, though Stephanie Tiri, Satrap of Western Lilira, vehemently denies any involvement. Though young, Damon Arua is very tepidly coming into her own as her education progresses.

Damon Arua, as with most Satraps, is educated by a large number of personal tutors. Though young, Damon Arua has already shown great potential and aptitude in both philosophy and mathematics, the second vital for any Satrap who aspires to serve on The Imperial High Council as the High Treasurer.

Damon Arua, despite not being overly intelligent, is possessed of a compassionate and intuitive mind. Despite her young age she has a surprisingly good grasp of philosophy, often impressing those around her with her knowledge.

Damon Arua believes that goodness should be advanced by using whatever means provide the most benefit. This idea forms her belief in the philosophy of altruistic consequentialism. This philosophy holds that people should behave altruistically and balance the needs of the collective as a whole and the needs of the individuals making up the collective. Her beliefs can also be associated with act utilitarianism and ethical altruism.

Prejudice: Damon Arua, though often a passive child, has clashed with her uncle over issues relating to racial supremacy. The young satrap has made it clear on numerous occasions that her starapy should be governed through a form of limited-meritocracy (i.e. meritocracy among her nobles).

Damon Arua is a staunch proponent of introducing a measure of meritocracy and equality among her peoples. While not nearly as radical as Nourn Pheakdei, Satrap of Sonui, Damon Arua still seeks to increase fairness and liberalize her Satrapy.
Vices & Personality flaws
Damon Arua is often fatigued due to her illness and, while not a problem in and of itself, often forces her to delegate many of her traditional duties to other members of her Satrapy. Her eagerness to shirk her responsibilities is a constant problem and often times allows others to advance their goals at the detriment to hers. Her illness also often causes her to be short and petulant and she can become easily frustrated.

Damon Arua pursues a rather intensive hygiene regiment due to her illness. She keeps herself very clean and often douses herself in a variety of herbal perfumes and poultices aimed at warding off disease.

Despite this pattern she can speak quite confidently when she chooses to, especially on topics of which she is highly knowledgeable. Damon Arua is also considered by many of her citizens to be good-looking, despite her sallowness and frailty from illness, and this shared viewpoint among her people aids her in commanding attention (though nowhere near the standard of Stephanie Tiri, Satrap of Western Lilira).

Damon Arua often maintains very erect posture, even when seated. When speaking she has a habit of balling both her hands into fists and shaking them as she talks.

Though Damon Arua is often busy with her studies she is allowed ample time for leisure due to her illness. Being as her passion is philosophy Damon spends most of this time allowed her to read or otherwise consumes books of philosophy. Damon Arua also has a hobby for rock collecting, which is not a uncommon pasttime among the citizens of Eastern Lilira due to the large amount of mining carried out. (Damon Arua's "collection" dwarfs those of most others.)

Damon Arua is the second richest Satrap on Yura. This accumulation of wealth is due almost entirely to the massive reserves of silver contained in the Shining Bluffs. These mountains straddle most of north Eastern Lilira and nearly all the official currency in Yura, Silver Suns, are minted there. This wealth is jealously guarded by Eastern Lilira and the amount of silver they mine and mint is restricted. This action prevents runaway inflation of Yura's currency but has the added benefit of making Damon Arua fabulously wealthy.
