What Are They?

Vampires are a race of omnivorous creatures that occupy the vast majority of Ysteria and hold a prominent influence over its land and resources. Their insatiable thirst for power and dominance has led them to establish a complex hierarchy that governs not only their kind but also the populations of "lesser creatures" under their control. This delicate balance often results in conflict, as various factions vie for supremacy while the oppressed seek to reclaim their freedom. They are also elegant and cunning and wield an iron grip on ancient sorcery, a generous gift from the ancient and all-powerful Witches that enables their manipulation of dark forces and the elements around them. This mastery of sorcery, combined with their natural allure, allows them to ensnare "lesser creatures" into servitude, further expanding their influence over the realm and perpetuating their reign of terror.
However, despite their power-thirsty and oppressive nature, vampires are frequently admired for their grace and sophisticated demeanour that captivates those who encounter them. This paradox of beauty and brutality creates a dangerous allure, drawing both allies and adversaries into their web of schemes and shadows.
