Western Terrosia

Geography and Terrain

Northern Hills: The northern part of Western Terrosia is hilly, scattered with lush forests and small rivers that flow toward the coast. These hills offer fertile land, excellent for agriculture and small settlements.   Southern Mountains: To the south, the terrain shifts into rugged mountains, home to mineral-rich veins and strategic outposts. These mountains are a natural defense barrier, isolating certain regions from external threats.   The Sharosia Strait: A narrow and turbulent body of water divides Terrosia from the island of Shanjia. The strait plays a critical role in trade but also serves as a potential chokepoint for military maneuvers. It is notorious for unpredictable tides, making it both an asset and a hazard to seafarers.

Culture

A Blend of Old and New: Western Terrosia stands as a crossroads between tradition and innovation. The presence of steam-powered technologies, airships, and railways mixes with older practices of spirituality and seasonal rituals.   Seafaring Heritage: Coastal communities thrive on fishing, shipbuilding, and trade. Local folklore revolves around the sea, and many superstitions relate to the unpredictable nature of the Sharosia Strait.
