Betu

Betu is a village of about 300 people out in the desert of Zavabu. The egyptian cultural influence is not as strong because of the distance from Cairo. The biggest city near Betu is Farma which is a strong egyptian cultural influence. The Village tends to keep to themselves and mind their own business. Several nomatic tribes frequent the village which is a good source of income for the village. They just have to keep an eye out for the Nubians which is a mercenery ran army similar to the Flaming fist of Baulders Gate. The Nubians are hired to take out the nomatic tribes that roam the deserts of Zavabu. Betu is located 30 leagues from the legendary city of Necropolis that once was the home of a great kingdom of lizard like humnoids of many colors. The were exterminated by the 5th dnyasty for the beliefs in ancient one.

Industry & Trade

The village of Betu depends on the nomatic tribes that roam this part of the desert. They know its againts the law to trade with nomads, but its the only way to survive. The city of Farma also sends merchants to the village, but their goods are more expensive.

  • Djherpri's Forge: The local black smith owned by a male human by the name of Ira Djherpri.
  • The Keystone of Amel: Betu local Market Square that is open from the 8th hour till the 17th hour. Coins are rarely exchanged here its a barter system most of the time.
  • The Exigent Emporium: A mysterious shop of arcane curiosities and wondrous items. Owned by a male by the name of Adar-malik Married to three woman by the name of Zakiti, Istar, and Reba.
  • The Pot Shop: A shop that sells all kinds of pots and assorted items including scented candles.  owned by Kha-hea the Marvelous a male human with his wife Arwia and two daughters Mot and Rubati who make all the pottery.
