Yuandra River Basin
The Yuandra River is one of the largest rivers in the Middle Kingdoms and its river basin covers thousands of square miles across a wide swath of the subcontinent.
The river basin is most densely populated on the south end, close to the ocean. The further north it travels, the more wild the land becomes. The river is divided up into three major sections: The Lower Yuandra, known for marshlands, frequent flooding and its difficulty to navigate. The Central Yuandra, famous for tranquil waters and the deep jungles that line the wide river. And the Upper Yuandra, a more narrow river through drier uplands.
Geography
The river flows south from the Worldwall bordering the northern edge of the Middle Kingdoms, through plains hills and eventually into the vast jungles, bordering several countries such as Voruub. In several places it is miles wide, closer to vast lakes than a mere river.
The northern uplands of the river tend to be warm and dry, and has carved canyons through the rolling hills and rocky landscapes close to the Worldwall.
The middle section of the Yuandra river crosses the equator passing through thick jungles and fed by uncounted tributaries, lakes, bogs, and more.
In the south, the land flattens out and becomes a wide swamp before joining the sea.
