Lance
No one quite knows the story of Lance, one day he arrived at the capital and barged into the council room. He declared the security of the Crown was abysmal, and that he would fix it. And fix it he did, after besting the Head of the Guard at the time very handily, and gaining the respect of the King, Lance took over as Head of the Guard, making immediate changes. Now he leads both the regular guard along with his highly trained Crownsguard, while acting as a member of the Valarian Council as well. Members of the council are not the biggest fans of his methods and ideologies, but there is one thing they all agree on. Lance scares the hell out of them.
Leader of the Crown Guard, claims to be an old man, but his body does not agree. He is still as dangerous as he was in is prime, and the rest of the council knows it.
