The Ash'razim (Osh-rah-zeem)

When a divine being falls from the Upper Planes to Xelestar, they transition into a being known as an Ash'razim. An Ash'razim may retain some of their divine abilities upon falling, though they are severely weakened and oftentimes corrupted. Corruption usually manifests in the Ash'razim's magickal identity reaching for some form of divine power separate from The Nascency as Nascent Design dictates that all directly created by it are "particularly crafted for their Nascent purpose" and therein forbidden from sincere change in the Upper Planes, as they are ultimately under The Nascency's jurisdiction.

As a civilization of people, the Ash'razim of The Verdant Shroud  elected Waverly Aulder as Seraphim General, believing her to be the most inclined to fight for their rights considering her role as a member of The Twelve Pillars of Creation, in the Millenias they spent as Walariel God of Judgement and Retribution.
