Godborn

When a mortal bears any traces of Celestial heritage in their blood, that individual is referred to as "Godborn". This is laregly because it is extremely rare for a Godborn individual not to display some intense sign of their heritage, such as naturally occuring symbolic tattoo-like markings or glowing golden freckles. There is evidence to suggest, in fact, that even if an individual were to have latent Godborn genetics, they may still be able to access that power and ascend to total Godhood. One example of these New Gods is Corelli Shireshelli who was previously cursed to be unable to access the Celestial blood passed down to him from his paternal grandfather, Ashmodai, "The Presence". He was able to provoke his instance of Proximitive Apotheosis after marrying Waverly Aulder, who is a full-blooded Godborn as the mortal form of Walariel.
