"Seelie" and "Unseelie"

Within The Feywilds lies the separate Faerie Civilizations of "The Seelie" and "The Unseelie". While the particular political distinctions will likely always remain a bit of a mystery to beings other than the Fey themselves, some information has been gathered to distinguish between the two. Within Fae society, "Unseelie" magick typically relates to fey magic that does not shy away from interacting with The Void or Necromancy/Black Magick  while "Seelie" magick tends to exhibit a stonger connection to White Magick or Green Magick. This is, more often than not, the easiest way for mortals to try to align themselves with Faeries politics (though this is never recommended) as The Campaign of Roses divided the Sylvari people and their ancestors firmly on whether or not Oberon , "King of Shadows", is still worthy or reverance.
It is unknown what connections a lineage derived from either has on modern Xelestarian elves, though some especially proud Noctari do make note that even their ancestors from a seperate plane were experts in wielding Black Magick and even believe that those ancestors may have some connection to the arrival of The Dark Star .
