Homelands Alliance

The Homelands Alliance was a formal collection of systems around the star system Homeland that existed for around fifty years, until its discovery and annexation by the Federation of Xah. It was relatively unique in that two of its systems had retained comparatively high levels of technology during the Dark Ages and had used that advantage to form the alliance. The hostile response from the only Keyhole out of the region at Gleise 729 had convinced the rulers that the rest of humanity was lost, and the arrival of the Federation came as somewhat of a surprise. Despite retaining high levels of technology, the Alliance had nothing that could oppose the Federation's Warrior caste, and the state conceded and surrendered after only a few engagements. Records of the Homelands Alliance were purged by the Federation of Xah not long after it achieved compliance, so details about its structure prior to its annexation are conjectural.
