The king of Altirborne Bren Traveska dies without an heir, he is the last in the Traveska line. With no clear successor to the throne, four noble houses of the Kingdom each stake their tenuous claim. No house holds a stronger tie to the throne than the others and war erupts. Altirborne is split in a civil war lasting 2 years as the houses vie for the crown. In the end it is the Vaecaryn house that stands victorious and the throne passes to them.
