Cadmus (kad-muss)

The Dragon Slayer

Cadmus was born in the Era of Evolution, around 2120AC, a native of the Fire Nexi (what would later become Are'dervaal). Cadmus was born during the reign of Drenvais, a tyrannical dragon who terrorised Cadmus' people for three generations.
Terranos had mourned the damage to the land Drenvais had caused and watched in wonder as Cadmus trained for years in the hopes of saving his people. Terranos saw to aid Cadmus, finding common ground in his mission and anointed the man his Divine Champion - the first of their kind. With a God on his side, Cadmus rallied his people against Drenvais, overthrowing him in a bloody revolution. Cadmus landed the killing divine blow upon the Dragon, earning him the name 'The Dragon Slayer'. 
The people of the Fire Nexi were freed from their subjugation but Cadmus knew his job was not done, he continued to fight in Terranos' name, travelling the world to save those who could not save themselves. In 2164AC Cadmus travelled to a settlement in Western Tymongaard after hearing rumour of a terrible creature that had laid waste to the people. Whatever the beast was, it proved a great foe, killing Cadmus and wiping the settlement from the face of Xaedia.
Terranos, saddened greatly by the loss of his Champion placed a seed in Cadmus' chest, so that in death he could nuture life once more. From this seed a great tree sprouted and grew across the ages. The Cadmus tree stands to this day ever-growing and un-fellable.
