Father of Sorcery

Yarn Kyenmanic is one of the oldest named figures in Wyrth, and one of the only ones to be born mortal. It is unknown precisely when he was born, but it is known to predate the Great Fracture, making him nearly 10,000 years old if he still lives.
He is called the "Father of Sorcery", as he is the one that is believed to have created the discipline after the Separation of the Cosmos made it so that the old way of simply willing the ambient magic to do your bidding was impossible. In the Age of Unity, access to the Deep wasn't an issue, but the Great Fracture locked them all away, making magic a dead skill for a time. Still, this took him decades of observing those that maintained even fragments of their magical ability, as well as tapping into his own divine nature as a Seraph in order to make any headway. However, when he had succeeded, it went to insane degrees.
It is believed that it was through his study and craft of magic that he became immortal, but the exact methodology is lost. However, according to legend, it's written in his diary, the Iron Tome. This also served as his spell book, making it the single most sought-after artifact in all of Wyrth. The fact that it has yet to be found is the primary piece of evidence people point to for why he must still be alive; he still has it with him.
Due to all of the legend and myth surrounding Yarn, Skepsologists think that he may be the man revered as the Alchemist in the Church of Ancients. One of the key elements to that is the theory that it is the Iron Tome that was the inspiration for the Alchemist's tome of secrets. There is also the matter of how the followers of the Alchemist are taught that there is no end to what mortal minds can learn and understand - a belief that was espoused by Yarn in accounts of his instruction.
Whether or not it is true that he became immortal, he is known to have had a wife and two children during the Age of Isolation. The identity of his wife and second child are unknown, but his firstborn was Vidad Kyenmanic, another highly mythologized figure of Wyrthean history. However, like his father, he is known to have actually existed.

That is his primary goal, and one he believes he can achieve by bringing knowledge and understanding to others.
