Separation of the Cosmos

The Law of Separation of the Cosmos or the First Cosmic Law, states that there are barriers between the Cosmos that cannot be breached by mortal means. The law serves to explain why Demons are unable to cross into the Mortal Realm from Pandemonium without an anchor in the form of a host or why Abominations become so disgustingly disfigured when they cross between the cosmos. This also describes the reason why greater Spirits are able to do so, as they must possess a power beyond what mortals are currently able to wield.
This is related to the Theory of Nullification, which states that mortals can only use non-cosmic magic in the material realm, as the energy (mana, ki, etc.) can't cross the barriers between the cosmos, only pass into the mortal realm. Cosmic magic would still be usable, as it draws on the caster's Soul like holy magic for an Angel.
