The Impossible Slayer

Puck is a Goblin. He has tried very hard not to let this define him, but it's difficult. Not only is he two and a half feet tall, but he was believed to be a savage by the majority of society. He once considered filing his teeth down so people would find him less threatening, but he decided against it. Instead, he elected to devote himself to helping others as a Skipjack. When that failed to garner any favor, he decided to go for fame: he'd become a Dragonslayer. 
Much to his surprise, his Goblin brain was perfectly suited to hunting monsters. His ability to create improvised weapons and set up traps that were made from the forest itself, allowing him to even outsmart a Dragon. For once, his size was a strength as it only bolstered his reputation. Someone that small felling some of the greatest beasts in all Wyrth caused rumors to spread like wildfire. Some people claimed that he was actually hiring hunting crews and then taking the credit for himself, while others theorized he was somehow falsifying his hunt reports. In spite of those negative rumors, still more spread about he could go toe to toe with any monster thrown at him.
After he joined the Gryphon's Blade, he only got better at his craft. He became known in the guild as the expert on draconoid creatures. Even S-rank members of the guild were coming to him to ask about how they should approach fighting a Dragon.

Mental characteristics

Education

He wasn't formally educated, as he was raised in the wilds of Uirsgeul, but he received a very practical education in survival. His parents taught him how to hunt and trap food - something he now uses on a larger scale for Dragonslaying. They also taught him basic herbal medicine.

Employment

He is employed as a Quester with the Gryphon's Blade guild.

He's one of the few living holders of the "Dragonslayer" title.
