Till Lands

Farther from the shore, the area to the north of Estalia is marked with rolling hills. Generally, these hills are relatively flat, however, the land to the northwest, between the Second and Third Walls, consisted of hills significantly steeper than the surroundings. Not wanting to break the regularity of The Grid System, the early Estalian builders excavated large portions of the hills, leaving tall, exposed cliffs next to houses. This area was given the nickname of the Till Lands because of its appearance of a freshly filled field.
