Catorion, Xerdite's Oracle (kate-oh-rye-on)

Oracle of the Deep

May Xerdite's blessing be upon you for this journey as I see calm waters and clear skiesCatorion
The Oracle of the Deep is a mysterious one. Being one of the Oracles that gave their sight for Oenar's gift, Catorion's eyes are covered in a blindfold, resembling the deep blues of the ocean. Residing in Xerdite's main temple on an island city, Catorion ususally has prophecies of things that will happen at sea. Many pirates, sailors and ship captains alike seek out a good omen for their travels.

The tapestries of some of the prophesized heroes are hung in the main temple. Many of them depict the heroes succeeding in battle against monsters of the deep. Most notably, a hero named Theisian defeating the great Kraken, Terinlez. The battle was great and lasted many days, with Theisian succeeding in battle. Terinlez was a blight on many sailors and pirates alike, destroying many a ship during its lifetime. Many tried to defeat it and many lost their lives to it. Theisian however was fatally wounded and lost their life shortly after the battle. The tapestry was woven of their battle against Terinlez was hung in the spirit of giving the people who visit the temple a message: That even a mortal can accomplish great things.

Catorion's voice is usually soothing and calm, as the sea. However, much like their god, anger them and you will face the rough waters of their ire, although their given prophecy might not be as rough of waters as their voice.
