The Treaty of Claws and Fangs

Purpose

The purpose of the treaty was to make both therianthropes and vampires more civil. They have gotten tired of fighting each other for dominance to do what they think is best for the human race in peace, so they decided to split the hemispheres for each kind. The therianthropes received the western hemisphere, from where they originated; and the vampire received the eastern hemisphere, the birthplace of their kind.

Caveats

If the treaty is broken, e.g. a vampire on the land of the western hemisphere or a therianthrope on the land of the eastern hemisphere, the opposing species is encouraged to kill said entity for trespassing.

Publication Status

This treaty is open to all people of Earth. Humorously noted, it has found its way into the hands of conspiracy theorist humans that try to push the idea of secret organizations.

Legal status

The document is valid only to therainthropic organizations and to vampiric organizations, as it is for only these organizations.

Background

The treaty ends the territorial battle between the two species.

Public Reaction

The reactions were mixed. Each species was happy to receive their land back, but were slightly unwilling to give up their territories on the other side of the world.

Legacy

So far, there hasn't been another battle like before the treaty. However, the standstill is making some impatient and may cause another war.

The Treaty of Claws and Fangs

On this day of 2010, the therianthropes, including but not limited to lycanthropes, cynanthropes, ailuranthropes and all others, wish to bring peace about our current days and end our needless conflict with our fellow species - the vampires.

From this day forward, if signed by both sides, the western hemisphere shall belong to the therianthropes as their territory, as it is their birthplace; and the eastern hemisphere shall belong to the vampires to be their territory, as it is their birthplace. Any captured land, settlement, or territory shall be ceded to its new, rightful owner.
Direct hunting of either species, no matter how big the business, is strictly prohibited. However, if one species were to find itself on the wrong hemisphere, they are offered no protection from the rest of their species and the territory owner may do as they please with the offender.

Any weapons from the direct hunting business may be kept if the head of ownership deems necessary.

Remember, none are allowed to cross territories without a writ of passage, and under no circumstances is one allowed to directly hunt another species as if this were the times before.
